Care For The Caregiver

This presentation will help caregivers to examine their personal life manager. It will look to how well you care for your self while you are caring for others. It will teach the capacities of reflection, renewal and refocusing.

This presentation will demonstrate the eight principles in the personal credo of a caregiver.

Caregivers frequently get so caught up in caring for others that they forget to care for themselves. This presentation deals with the fundamental principle that: " The caregiver who cares for themselves first, has wisdom for a compass and character for a client.” Taking good care of you then is taking good care of others.

- I know that before I can take good care of any one or
anything, I must first take good care of myself!
- I must cultivate daily renewal of the four basic
environments -- physical, mental, social, and spiritual.
- I need to constantly Know what is truly important in
life and live by it
- I must create the time to pursue regular, personal, and
professional renewal.
- I must never lose sight of the true purpose in my work.
